With more than 1.9 million incarcerated people in the U.S., there’s a deep
need for the good news of God’s Kingdom in the prison system. The team
at Pando is on a mission to ensure every inmate in the U.S. has direct and
personal access to the Gospel. Through the Pando app, BibleProject
content has been added to 400,000 tablets in over 200 prison facilities
across the United States, and BibleProject resources had over 1.8 million
views on the Pando app in 2024.
A few months ago, Marion, whose husband is incarcerated, shared with us
that the content on Pando is leading to enriching conversations for her and
her husband. Marion also suggested adding classes to the app, and the
team quickly coordinated adding BibleProject Classroom content to the
platform. Marion’s husband is now leading Bible studies for his fellow
inmates who want to learn more about Jesus.
