A Place of Encounter:
The Mountain
The ancient world understood mountains as spaces where the sky
touched the land. We see this in the Bible, where the mountain is a place
for humanity to encounter God’s presence and wisdom.
We began 2025 by releasing The Mountain video in January, which explored
the mountain theme throughout Scripture. We looked at stories of people
who met God on a mountaintop, a place that is both good and dangerous,
and who were transformed by that encounter. But the stories didn’t end
there. Those people then had to go back down the mountain and bring
God’s presence with them so they could share what they had learned
and continue the journey.
As a community of Bible readers, we also wanted to share what we
were learning. We wound our way from our releases on The Mountain to
The Exodus Way to Redemption to The Wilderness, walking a journey
together that shaped us along the way.
