This Way Comes at a Cost:
Redemption
The ancient Israelites had been enslaved by Pharaoh for generations, and
even nine plagues sent by God hadn’t budged Pharaoh. Until one night
when something strange happened. God’s plague of death swept through
Egypt, but the destroyer passed over the homes that had marked their
doorposts with the blood of a spotless lamb. The people were freed,
but their redemption came at a cost.
For many of us, this scene still feels strange. Why blood? Why a lamb?
We explored those questions and more in our Redemption video, which
we released in August 2025. We learned how the themes of belonging
and redemption that are found throughout the Bible all point to Jesus,
who reclaims us for the life of freedom that God has promised.
