An Upside-Down
Kingdom in Houston
Sang was in a wilderness season in 2014. He was working a job he
felt stuck in, and every day felt dreary and monotonous. Feeling
isolated and uncertain, he stumbled upon our Torah video series.
The visual storytelling and fresh look at Old Testament themes
drew him in.
Soon he was listening to the BibleProject podcast on his commute,
transforming the lonely trip to the office into a time when he felt
deeply connected to God. “Listening to the podcasts and watching
the videos stirred a growing desire to devote my life to Jesus’
Upside-Down Kingdom,” he said. Day by day, he learned more
about the teachings of Jesus, until he eventually listened to our
entire podcast archive. When he was ready for a change, he took
a job as the first college ministry pastor at New Life Fellowship in
Houston, Texas.
