Overlooks on the Year
Classrooms All Over
the World
When we launched BibleProject Classroom in 2020, we knew we wanted
to create something more than your typical theology class. We dreamed
that each class would be a rich discussion about the design and beauty
of the Bible and a model for what it might look like to study Scripture
in community.
Now, five years later, thousands of students are taking these classes.
But what’s even more inspiring is the way many people are taking them.
Without any prompting from us, people around the world have gathered
their own friends, family, and coworkers into local classrooms to study
the Bible together using Classroom.
Ben in Missouri met weekly with interns at his church to watch class
sessions and discuss what they were learning. Melisa in Argentina brought
together professionals who wanted to study the Bible and practice
English. And Robby in Arkansas used Classroom to curate his own
curriculum for college athletes with little to no knowledge of the Bible.
Recently, our team got to sit down with Melissa, Rebecca, and a group of
women in Franklin, Tennessee, who have been meeting every Monday for
more than two years to take these classes together. One student, Jenni,
said, “Classroom is more than an education. It is truly a transformation
of the heart.”
Melissa and Rebecca’s group is just one of many reading the Bible
together using Classroom. We have been astounded by their excitement.
For them, it’s not just an education on the Bible but a doorway into a
lifelong habit of meditating on the Scriptures in community.
