One Billion Bible Readers
Around the World
In November 2025, our friends at YouVersion reached an amazing
milestone: Their Bible App hit over one billion downloads onto devices.
That means over one billion people worldwide have the Bible in their
pockets, purses, or just within reach.
The Bible App was among the first 200 apps on the App Store in 2008,
drawing 83,000 downloads in its first weekend. Now, thousands more
people discover BibleProject resources through the app every day. In
2025, we released eight new reading plans, including companion plans
for The Exodus Way, Redemption, and The Wilderness videos. Together,
our audience completed 737,000 plans in 2025, each guiding readers
through Scripture in three-day to 365-day journeys.
But our partnership with YouVersion does more than introduce new
content; it helps people build Bible-reading habits. God’s provision makes
these plans possible and helps keep people moving, day by day, through
the Bible’s beautiful and unified story.
